Warrior Mother?

I defended my honor

I defended my pride

I covered my embarrassment

I covered my shame

I defended my spouse

My family

My friends

I repulsed attacks with an iron shield

But when all was said and done

As peace fell in a curtain,

I lowered sword and shield

And turned to the child beside me

And spanked her for her actions.

    1. I am glad you are one more person in the world who does not approve of spanking. It is always a curious reflection to me when I think of how some people will defend their children from others but still spank them, which is to me another form of attack.

I wanted to express that here. Thank you for reading!
